Things that people did not know about titlist golf clubs
Things you do not know about Titleist
1.
Titleist was founded by Phillip E. Young. in 1932
2. Young was the golfer who missed the short putt in
one of these matches at the country club, and I think the ball was at fault,
but not by him. So he decided to X-ray the ball in question and found that the
center was off. Young are contacted by MIT graduate Fred Bommer and then looks
to create the right golf clubs. Their first Titleist balls were ready to use in
1935
3.
The name sounds like a title that indicates most
of the titles. In the golf-winning game, it is everything, not only for players
but also for club manufactures and equipment manufacturers, also.
4.
The first event of Titleist was winning the ball
count in US open 1949 at the country club.
5.
The logo was considered the creation of office
secretary Helen Robinson. She is known for her amazing handwriting. She was
provided with a piece of paper and asked for the word Titleist. This is what
she created and named the logo.
6.
In the earlier days of Second-hand Titleist Golf Clubs, the way Bommer and Young got
professionals to use their golf balls was to travel by camper van to match
across America.
It is also known as
an offshoot brand of a processing company founded in 1910 by Young.
